- The 5G Video Ipod and the Ipod Nano are supported by LazyContacts.
- You do not need an Ipod to use LazyContacts as a contact manager.
Before using your Ipod with LazyContacts, you need to enable disk use. For example with iTunes 6:
- Attach your Ipod to your computer and launch iTunes.
- Right-click on the Ipod and select Ipod Options...
- Select the Music tab.
- Make sure that Enable disk use is checked.
Contacts that are stored on your Ipod can be imported into your LazyContacts address book.
- Make sure your Ipod is set to work with LazyContacts.
- Select File -> Import From Ipod from the main menu.
- Any contacts that weren't already in your address book will now have been imported.
Contacts stored in your LazyContacts address book can be synchronised with your Ipod.
- Make sure your Ipod is set to work with LazyContacts.
- Select Contacts -> Synchronise With Ipod from the main menu.
- Contacts will be synchronised with your Ipod. This means:
- All contacts that are in your LazyContacts address book will be copied to your Ipod.
- All contacts that are different on your Ipod will be updated so they are the same as the ones in your LazyContacts address book.
- All contacts that aren't in your LazyContacts address book will be deleted from your address book.
- NB you should follow Synchronising For The First Time to make sure all contacts
from your Ipod are imported into your LazyContacts address book before synchronising for the first time.
- Synchronising with your Ipod will delete any contacts from your Ipod that aren't in your
LazyContacts address book. Before using your Ipod, make sure you import your contacts into your LazyContacts address book.
- Tip: when your LazyContacts address book is empty, make sure your ipod is set to work
with LazyContacts. Connect your Ipod to your computer before starting LazyContacts. LazyContacts
will detect your Ipod, and automatically ask you if you want to import contacts from your Ipod.
- Tip: the first time you try to synchronise your Ipod, you will be warned to
import your contacts from your Ipod first.
